Helsinki
I just got back from a week workshop at the Sibelius Academy in Helsinki. Richard from the Philharmonia and I had a class of 10 students on an Arts Management MA for 6 days.
It was interesting, a bit like The Apprentice and a bit like your first week at college on a video production GNVQ. Unfortunately I didn't get to play the role of Lord Sugar but was more of a Nick or Margaret. Certainly for me the most interesting aspect of the week was seeing how the students worked together, managed their time and tried to meet the deadline. I didn't touch the camera all week and didn't edit. I did offer advice on framing, lighting and technique but left the students to their own devices unless they asked for help.
