The Oxjam event ran over the month of October. A couple of weeks ago was the Brixton event. I saw a post on twitter asking if any local people were interested and sent a message. Steve lives on Brixton Hill and I live on the edge of Walworth/Camberwell, so Brixton is often where we hold our important business meetings and we thought it'd be fun.
It was fun and for charity, so I took the opportunity to be a bit looser with shooting and to finally use my Canon 5d Mk2 as the primary camera. You can clearly see the difference in the film; on the interviews, the Yaaba Funk performance and the Illersapiens main camera. We managed to shoot in almost no light in both Rest is Noise and the Dogstar, if we had been armed with only EX1's or any other similar camera we would've been in trouble or used disgusting levels of gain and ended up with a terribly flat picture.
Anyway, it was fun, you should go next year and perhaps hire us to shoot something all on the 5D.
