Windinnres by Ulrich Kreppein
Back in March of this year, Wash Media went up to Cambridge to film Britten Sinfonia in their home from home, the West Road Concert Hall for a lunchtime chamber recital. As part of this concert, they premiered a new work (as they amazingly do in every single one of these concerts) co-commissioned by Britten Sinfonia and Wigmore Hall by Ulrich Kreppein. The piece, called Windinnres, was written for string trio and performed by Jacqueline Shave, Clare Finnimore and Caroline Dearnley. It's a fantastic piece of music, full of incredible textures and pulses, and at times it's hard to believe all these sounds are being produced by just three musicians. We've now done an edit of the entire piece, which can be seen above.
